Dmitry Soin: Transniestria requires strategic stocks of gas

Dmitry Soin: «Gas crisis especially sharply affected Transniestria because of the absence of strategic stocks of blue fuel. Any state aspires to have a reserve of energy resources at least on the two-three months period. It allows suffering technogenic accidents, economic and political wars. For a long time Transniestria placed the stakes on development of gas sector of economy. Many producing unit are now working on gas: social objects, power complex, heating systems. People preferred to mount gas coppers in private houses. This true strategy had one serious defect and now we faced the humanitarian accident. I mean the absence of strategic gasholder in Transniestria. Now because of the present conflict between Gazprom and Naftogaz which turned out to be actually the interstate conflict between Russia and Ukraine suffers Transniestria. The reason is simple, we have nothing to compensate the termination of transportation of gas through Ukraine. Now irrespective of the final of the gas war Tiraspol should create strategic stocks of blue fuel. It is clear, that it not too easy. We demand serious financial investments, experts and a gasholder. But we do not have other alternative. Otherwise because of the astable international situation Transniestria will regularly suffer the lack of energy resources. In general I would put forward it as the civil initiative from IYC-PDP "PRORIV!". I hope, that it will find support among management of republic and among civil society of Transniestria as a whole », has underlined Dmitry Soin.
