Transniestria asks the financial help from Russia

The Transniestrian Republic is interested in economic support of Russia because of the world financial crisis. According request is already sent to the Russian side, informs radio station "Maiak" referring to associated chief of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Transniestria Vladimir Jastrebchak.
"We are interested in support of Russia to supply social programs and provide financial stability, especially to support the rate of Transniestrian currency", -has told Transniestrian diplomat on Friday at press conference in Moscow. He has informed that the Russian financial help is already going to Transniestria for surcharges to pensioners having the Russian citizenship and catering services in preschool centers.
Jastrebchak has added that while the government of Transniestrian region holds a situation under the control, however in connection with world financial crisis the economic situation in republic can worsen.
