July, 26, 1953 Cuban rebel-revolutionaries group
160 in number at the head of little known at that time Fidel Castro tried to
storm quarters “Monkado” in Santiago de Cuba.
Storm was ended by total defeat of battle group.
However storm attempt of quarters “Monkado” became the first step on the road
to dethronement of Cuban dictator Fulhenisto Batista. The anniversary of these heroic
events is still celebrated on Cuba.
IYC-PDP “PRORIV!” congratulate Cuban people with anniversary of quarters “Monkado”
storm. This day is a holiday of courage and boldness, the holiday of belief in
victory, in triumph of justice and its affair. Events of July, 26, 1953 as others
numerous Cuban historical facts influence on minds and hearts of people all
over the world. Transniestrian people, as
many others people who fight for its freedom, take spiritual power from these
examples for continuation of its fight. On IYC-PDP “PRORIV!” flags you can see
image of famous Cuban revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara. Our Political
Leadership High School bears the name of Che Guevara. In this school young Transniestrian
politicians are taught and get first experience. PMR is very similar to Liberty
Island by its configuration. But not only this fact pins us with Cuban people.
It’s common soviet past, experience of revolutionary fight and trend to ideal
of justice make us related and make us the part of common fight for better
