Dmitry Soin: a journalist it is real a risk profession

December, the 15th, is The Day of memory about the journalists who have perished while their professional duties.This day we remember everybody who reported the truth to TV viewers, radio listeners and readers in spite of danger. The TV operators gifted from God, press photographers and reporters told impartially the truth and reported the operative information from "hotspots" in a peace time, they were not afraid to narrate about the criminal syndicates, the corrupted officials, pilferer politicians and about many other things. That has been learnt a secret thanks to the workers of mass-media, it became property of the public. According to dry figures of statistics, in the world of 700 employees of various mass media have perished over the last 10 years, almost 300 of them are from Russia. According to the Union of journalists of Russia, from 10 to 20 journalists perish in Russian Federation. According to the Ministry of nationalities affairs, the press and information of the Chechen Republic, about 100 journalists have perished for two Chechen campaigns in republic. The most dangerous countries are Iraq and Afghanistan for the work of journalists.
During the military operations the TV operator of the Bendery TV Valery Vozdvizhensky has perished in Transnistria in 1992. He removed the entry of the Moldavian armies into Bendery and he had been killed on the spot.
Frequently the murders "fighters" for the truth has been unrevealed for many years. Till now murderers of Dmitry Holodov and Vladislav Listev are still at large. Сolleagues have not been satisfied by the results of investigation of death of the head of holding "Top secret" Artem Borovik. There is the mureder of the observer of "New paper" Ann Polotkovskaya in October, 2006 among the last known cases.
In December, 2006 the United Nations Security council has solidly approved the resolution about the position of journalists during confrontations. It has expressed deep concern become more frequent purposeful attacks on representatives of mass-media in allowed bands of military operations and it has resolutely condemned such acts. Soviet has called the sides in conflicts and all member states of the United Nations to provide protection to representatives of mass-media, as well as of all civilians, and to prevent attacks on them, thus respecting their independence and not breaking their professional rights. The councilors have called the states to finish impunity, against gross infringements of human rights during military conflicts, including concerning to journalists.
For the first time on December, the 11th, in 1991, the relatives and colleagues of the perished journalists were gathered to honor a memory the people given their lives for a freedom of speech.

As he said, «it seems to me, the journalism is not a profession, but it is a way of life». «As for each person the journalists' life are broken by ill luck or fatal coincidence of circumstances. But nevertheless more often they are killed when they are wanted to have stopped to work, to have become silent, could not inform to people the information - the truth » – the leader of The IYC-PDP "PRORIV!". As he said, «Hardly in general it is possible to save journalists from risk. The information is explosive, as it is known, which is concerned by journalists in a peace life. However in any case if the society is civil or wish it became such, it should react rigidly to every case of death of the journalist. And, certainly, it is necessary to remember perishes, helping their families, regular, not one time in a year, December, the 15th.
The IYC-PDP "PRORIV!" calls to honor memory of all those journalists which have paid with their lives during the execution of their debt - reports the truthful and real information to the population and a society.
