English // 20:11, 9 июня 2008 // 4486
The ideologist of International Youth Corporation and People’s Democratic Party “PRORIV!”, the head of the sociological informational and analytical “S-centre” Dmitriy Soin thinks that Pridnestrovie needs forming of socially oriented state. In his commentary for “Lenta PMR” agency he said, “Pridnestrovie suffers acute social and economic crisis. The rise in prices, decline in living standards cause not only the spread of opposition mood in various strata of society, but also difficult economic consequences. Able-bodied citizens leave the republic in search of earnings.

The outflow of skilled manpower threatens by enterprises’ stop, decrease in quality and output volume. As a result we expect further decline in living standards and the following catastrophe. There are, of course, external reasons for it – blockade, non-recognition and world economic crisis. But there are obvious internal reasons. We have destroyed the basis of socialist world outlook and social security of people. From Pridnestrovian Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic we passed into neoliberalism with its dominant principle “The strongest will survive”.

Such an approach is considered to be wrong even in connection with western developed countries, not to mention our republic, which suffered all the shocks of perestroika and post-perestroika periods. Today we do not have domestic resources, but still we have to think of socialism return. Of course, we do not need totalitarianism, dictatorship, repressions and one-party system. We need socially oriented state. We need the state in which there will be no dramatic differences between poor majority and rich minority, in which socially disabled strata of society- retired people, employees of a government-financed organizations, war and labor veterans, Pridnestrovian defenders, orphans, large families, single old people, disabled people, students and pupils- will be protected. If Pridnestrovie follows these terms, it will survive and develop,” stressed Dmirtriy Soin.
