PRORIV!" has condemned the bashing of synagogue in Bendery

On March, 1st unknown vandals have committed the bashing of synagogue in Bendery. Serious damage is caused to this cult premise, religious arts and accessories are destroyed or damaged. Regarding this regrettable fact the press-service of IYC-PDP "PRORIV!" addressed with a special reference: «what happened in Bendery is not just an act of simply vandalism. It is cynical and impudent challenge to the international Transniestrian society. The challenge which happened in the most suffered city during the aggression of Moldavian nationalists in 1992. Probably there are regional forces wishing to sow international and religious discord, to bring additional distemper in this uneasy time for republic. Such act as the bashing of synagogue cannot be spontaneous action. It is deeply thought over provocation exposing Transniestria in impartial light. So, "PRORIV!" expresses indignation on this fact and shows solidarity with the Jewish community which has suffered from vandalism in Bendery. We also address to the law enforcement bodies with a request in short terms to make effective investigation and to punish the guilty. In our opinion not only the state, but also the society should react sharply to this fact and take steps to prevent future incidents.
