Protection of democracy is the affair of all free people

OSCE mission in Moldova agreed to send the observers on the legal process "PRORIV!" versus state administration of Tiraspol. The chief executive of youth corporation Alena Arshinova said the following: «It is very significant moment for us. "PRORIV!" and OSCE missions initially developed not ordinary relations. We often organized pickets and meetings near the office of this organisation demanding to refuse double standards. It was the radical incident in 2005 when the flag of OSCE had been changed to the flag of "PRORIV!" at the facade of Tiraspol office of this organization. In general there are not much occasions to express love to our party. However, the way the head of mission Philip Remler and other accredited diplomats acted is reputable. "PRORIV!" has lodged a suit about illegal refusal of the political action by administration of Tiraspol. The attendance of independent observers is the best guarantee of objective legal investigation. We appealed to OSCE with the request to support us as observers and received the positive answer at once. So I can conclude that free people even of different ideologies are united by one general theme - support and protection of democracy. It is impossible to imagine the existence of opposite ideologies and their free competition. More than 3 years "PRORIV!" suffers information isolation and it is a scandalous fact. Both local legal experts and international structures can see it. I hope, that today's reaction of OSCE will be not the last and we at last we will find ways for further development of democratic institutes of Transniestria», said Alena Arshinova.
