“That thing that Radovan Karadzic was detained when liberal pro-European coalition was finally formed in Belgrade – shows that it wasn’t only fortuity or special services operational success. May be somebody will think that it’s a simple coincidence, but Karadzic arrest really symbolizes final collapse of “Old Yugoslavia with great-power ambitions, and appearance on its place of “New, sleek, not ambitious European Serbia”. No doubt Radovan was given away by Serbian special services. But Serbian  national security, defence and law enforcement agencies wouldn’t ever arrest him without political decision and concrete command of President and government. All these years officials in Belgrade clearly has been knowing where Karadzic was, but they didn’t dare to arrest him and to give away this symbol for Yugoslavia preservation. Serbian secret service “Sluzhba drzhavne bezbednosty” made to Bosnian Serbia ex-president documents on another name. This service has also provided him operational cover аnd gave away when it was necessary. Today Karadzic enemies and adgerents should contract “legal act”. It means that it’s necessary to guarantee fair justice to Radovan.  It must not be as harsh treatment of politician which counted on force and lost his set”, accentuated director of Sociological Informational-Analitic “S-Center” Dmitry Soin.
